A Geek Weekend Out

This weekend my friends Carrie, Kate and I went to a hotel in town to, basically, enjoy a big-girl slumber party. I would say an "adult slumber party", but that would make you think we had sex, and that's not what happened: we spent from Friday night to Sunday noon holed up in our hotel room indulging in series and movies of our guilty pleasures :-D.

The idea came by the end of last year, but I can't tell you exactly how. We have spent quite some time together and have gone of one-day trips to places where you can go swimming (it's not a wellness place, but like a family, entertainment center), where all we did was watch series and movies on an iPad and talk about fanfics. Believe it or not, it was amazing, and we enjoyed ourselves very much. The idea somehow had stuck, that we should do this again, but staying a larger period of time, so we could actually watch more series and more movies. We have already talked about doing a trip to Salem sometime in the future (when we can afford it), but then we actually wanted to do something sooner, while the girls still had their vacation. Thus, in a somewhat unorganized way, we ended up booking a room for the three of us at a hotel close by with this sole purpose in mind: watch movies and series.

We considered going to the beach, but really, was it worth driving all the way to the beach (I don't mind driving, I love driving!) only to end up holed in the room watching series? Because in that case, why would we even waste time on the road, when we could be already watching a movie? There was no actual program or plan as to what we wanted to watch - get on track with Supernatural, maybe, and then some Hannibal, some Sleepy Hollow - and somehow, a passion of theirs, old passion of mine, also got into the mix. The yaoi.

Carrie packed up the old hits we loved watching back when we met, and then they showed me new shows of which I have never heard, which were nice, sweet, and even disturbing. For instance, there's this series about guys - some "Binan" something - that's like a Sailor Moon with guys... only terribly corny and girly. And somehow, even some parts just make you look away for it's too corny to endure, I think I like it.

Am I going back to animé and yaoi? No, I don't think so, and if so, I'll make sure to stop before I get as sucked up by this world as I once was. However, it's nice to indulge, nice to be silly a little, unplug from the normal world, and spend some time with your best friends being plain silly, happy, carefree, all day laying in bed and eating snacks, drinking sweet beverages and cocktails and laughing out loud with your friends. Come up with funny tasks, like each of us has to find and review a fanfic from a fandom that's not Teen Wolf (Carrie and I are slightly obsessed with Sterek fics, but then again, it's not our fault Kate had developed a distaste for this fandom, and rather indulge in Star Trek, which is her only fandom since... a couple of years now), or make plans to start watching more and more series, like... yeah, I'm not into it again that much, so I won't even attempt at going on with the Japanese names.

Whatever your life is, whatever your circumstances, truth is that you do need a little time out with your friends, a break to simply be silly, be carefree. It charges you up and makes you feel... amazing. ^_^

International TGIF day?

Given the fact that Dad managed to get himself yet another sick-leave (and I'm positive it's some ruse he and some friendly doc are cooking up, because nobody gets so many days ever so often for a hurting wrist), my options to reach the office were either take a caravan of buses or ask a coworker to give me a ride. Since this particular coworker, Smurf, pointedly asked why have I stopped going with him, I decided to call him and ask him if he can give me a ride. Well, that and the fact that his girlfriend is simply adorable and the sweetest, most precious person I have met made me jump at the open offer and call them early. Andy, the adorable Smurfette, picked up the phone and said, God bless her tender soul, that sure thing.

So they gave me a ride. After greeting, Andy's first comment was "Finally Friday!" with such a festive, happy countenance as if it were some long awaited holiday. Then again, for a Friday that's not an unusual expression, but it struck me that gathered, overworked, quite Andy would make such an enthusiastic exclamation before me, after all we are not kin nor we are coworkers or best friends, just friendly acquintances. Perhaps what struck me was the source, not so much the content of the exclamation or the tone itself. Well, Patrick knows. Either way, surprising or not, it was  - well - a true statement.

Then, after fulfilling my due-diligence with a task left from yesterday (Oh dear Patrick, Carrie!!! It was so AWESOME!!! Gonna go over it again and again and again! Totally... wow!), I leaped up to the net, came here and what do I see but Dragonfly also celebrating the Friday. My coworkers also, in disorganized chorus, sighed this day with relieve and joy, planning even, signing up to a hearty lunch complete with a good, cool bottle of beer. On a week day? Never. On Friday? A must.

I myself, since I don't have any date with any of my friends - sad but true -  was thinking about tying my weekly NCIS with a nice, cold bottle of Smirnoff Ice. (I'm not much of an alone beer drinker, but I totally adore drinking Smirnoff while watching TV.) It is Friday after all and the world seems to be consumed in celebrating it, so why wouldn't I? (Specially when tomorrow I'll have this AWESOME 4-5 hour White Collar marathon?) So, in face of the facts presented, yes, I will celebrate this Friday, and hope everybody else is also up to do so.

Once again a week has gone by without me either mailing Calendulina's letter nor getting on with Sonja's letter. It has gone by without meeting with Shimmy Gin, whom I'm missing like Hell, not meeting with Carrie, and boy we need to meet! Then again, Carrie and I fixed this thing yesterday over a one hour phone conversation: we will meet on Monday in order to gap about how awesome this week's and last week's Supernatural episode was (hope this week's is good, 'coz ain't haven't seen it yet, but last week's was a freaking Oh-Dear-Patrick! with all the "Your demon lover, Brady" and "Did you kissed him?" and holding, grabbing, pulling, trumping over each other and awkward hand landing on hip-ass- upper (VERY UPPER) thigh. One word there, I don't know about Dean, but Jensen did lost all his male-touch-virtue (if such a thing exists) there), and then delve into the Sweet-Patrick-White Collar-is-heaven-and-Neal-is-awesome followed by the deep, intellectual, philosophical discussion over whether Neal Caffrey is or is not one of the Ukes of Destiny. My money is on "yes", and I'll do my best to prove my point. I mean, he is not a Mochizuki, that's granted - though if you look up to it closely.... - but he is quite Ryo Maclean quite often, or a Draco-in-Draco-Snape, as we concluded yesterday, and he can hardly go seme, specially when he bows to El, so yeah, he IS a total uke. But that is next week Monday. This week Friday is "pass da booze, brotha!"

Peace out.

P.D.: Thanks to Smurf for providing a picture of the Smurf-mobil.

On the Deep Heart of Soul and Mind Transportation

"Las 9:37 y todo sereno" (9:37 and all quiet), would howl the old watchman on the streets of some Spanish or Spaniard town. And in all truth it is. I expected more of a ruckus, but things are soft and quite, safe from the Sun, that's rising up against my shaded, polarized window, pumping up the heat as if it where the one thing I needed to accompany my daily glass of bubbly, dark, refreshing Coke. The door to my office, made of glass and metal is open, held that way with a broken piece of light gray plastic that came off from whatever unidentified piece of furniture we all hope is not missing it. See? I don't mind having or not an office. I can work fairly well with the door open.

I can't work, though, without my music, so I hooked up my earplugs on, and pushed the play button on my iTunes letting the gates open for the flood of Dutch music (in English) break to the levees of silence and pour unsuspected into my ears in the sweet voice of Sharon den Adel, waiting for her glorious duet with Anneke Van Giersbergen. (And this is that very thin, very fine, very fragile point where all my cells, pouder for a moment a whim, to just push everything aside and say yes, I love them and if that makes me a lesbian for the lenght of the song, fucking be it. Those two worth it.) Music, this particular music is just... so transporting. Their voices, the sounds instruments and throats conjure cast such a dark, maddening hex upon us, dribling in our ears like the poisin in the King's ear in Hamlet. It makes us fly. It makes me fly. They make me fly. It's like the voices of dark angels guiding you in the chilly black night sky, in a trail of kisses and feathers towards an unknown destination that might be dooming, might be enlightening, but the trip itself splits self from body, consciousness from soul, rips you to your components, untangles the human and spread it so far apart pieces doesn't seem to match anymore. This looks a lot like a great day.

I've plans to meet with Carrie for some fangirling, basically all about Supernatural - what else? -  and the last Episode "The Devil You Know", and the episode before that, and perhaps a few others down the way. After all, going the series down the trackthey are taking only two things are worth to do: fangirling and fanfic-ing. Not that I can complain, because at least Dean has finally stopped going all Twilight every time Sam breaths, and Sam has been losing his Marianne Dashwood mood too, so things are going back to two-hot-brothers-kicking-the-supernatural, with a few glitches on the way, totally forgivable because they are handsome. I know, that's so sexist, but I'm not watching the series because they are smart of curing cancer, or are you? (Yes, I'm a straight woman who appreciates male beauty VERY MUCH! Is there a problem with that?)

I'm thinking also about talking to her about my latest (one of them, at least) fangirling, fanslashing discoveries. You know, because among girlfriends all good things must be shared, and this one is so awesome! It's White Collar. As a matter of fact yesterday I proded the net for some pieces and found a few quite... ummm... so, cannon makes Neal the uke? Interesting. ^_^ Not like I oppose, oh dear no. It's just interesting that from... 15 stories I found basically none of them let dear Mr. Caffrey take any role other than the passive one. Could it be due to his anklet? Could it be due to his charm? Could it be due to the fact that he's basically pussy whipped by Kate? Be it as it may, I guess I'll keep... ummm... researching the phenomenon, looking for all other possible scenarios to the case. Another thing I noticed, Hell, the way they play Agent Burke makes you look again at the plain, kitten gentle, slightly goofy, won't-kill-a-fly, clueless FBI agent. The phenomenon here is much like the Snape phenomenon: he's not supposed to be much, just some plain, flat, graceless spot on the wall, the "annoyment center", but fanfickers pick 'em up from the dust their creators leave them and push 'em up, make them into breathtaking gods. When it comes to the point where you can't decide between Caffrey and Burke, and find yourself oddly leaning towards Burke a bit more, that's the grand, the unstopable, the all transforming, all taking, all possessing power of fanfickers.

Do You... Stream?

Among the many revelations brought upon me yesterday (like, yes, I'll see two men kissing on Supernatural, not the Winchester brothers though, but still, almost as part of a continued escalation of the "homoerotic subtext", which seems to be leaving the subtext to be fully incorporated in the plot as just another main character, if not stealing the spotlight and becoming The Plot, but that's not the topic of this entry), one thing that came to me was the "streaming" in the Twitterverse. Oh yeah, again that Hyne-awful "Twitverse" thing. I know, I know, most of you rather salt it and burn it extra crispy already, but believe me Un-Tweeting-Folks, the "Twitterverse" is interesting to the point of fascination thanks to all it's layers and the powerful redefinition of social contact. The "chats" made it once, it drove us all crazy, extracting us from the realm of "RL" (the so called "real life") and plunging us into a cyber world similar to that of Kill Switch in an episode of the X Files probably only I remember. (Used to have a humongus crush on Mulder and Krycek, but you don't need to know that, now do you?) The "Twitterverse" is something like it's "Evolution", breaking time in chunks, a bit more selective, and fully taking upon the format of the nowadays worrshipped SMS. 140 characters and the temporal flexibility of a forum, where you don't need to be bothered with the inocuous posting of pestering spammers unless you are stupid enough to follow them, and moronic enough not to unfollow them once you realize the kind of (if I say "human trash", would that be strong and politically incorrect? Yeah, okay, lemme find another word) --- (this is hard, you know?) --- people they are. Then, as in everything touched by people, it develops and proves itself to be as alive as those who use it. Whether because life, concentrated and purposefully focused generates life, of because it sucks it away from the living ones (the same is true to anything people do), it grows taking people with them, pulling and pushing each other further and forward. People still find the way to meet with others, to pour some RL-content into their contact.

Some of the many ways this "Twitterverse" extends into the lives of people is through the Streaming. From what I understand, this is simply a Twitter, a camera, an Internet connection and something to say live or recorded to the audience. Some would say that what you actually need is the three first components, as some streams have nothing to say. Probably some twit-attempt at reviving the Seinfield phenomenon. Yeah, like it wasn't enough to suffer it once.

Here and there I've heard of some of these streams, I've even seen a couple though so far none has had what it takes to really hold my attention. From a group of ladies around a table in the best Sex and The City style chatting about different topics, to an Afro-American girl babbling ghetto style they are all becoming today's better honed sitcoms. Little Twitters around the world gather up at the given time before their devices, make it phones, laptops, desktops, PDA's, netbooks, and giddily await the start of the show. This is today's "Mickey Mouse Club", and these streamers are these generation's Mousketeers. Each of them pick and follow those that talk to them, those their twit-friends recommend them, and then gather for hours and days to comment on the show. Who did what, who said what, who was interviewed, where was it located, what were they wearing, talked too much, talked too little, the quality of the transmission sucked big time, and so on.

From what I gather, streaming is also a way to get out there and horde up new people, new followers and push wider, broader the borders of the Twitterverse at their thumbs. It's also a way to find realisation to those dreams real life and its circumstances may have seemed to trunk and snip away before blooming. How many of us can actually expect to have a show of its own? A show dictated by oneself. In real life, with a real tv crew and the whole shebang, not many of us, but in the Twitterverse all you need are the three-four ingredients enlisted above and you've got your own show.

One of my friends, whom I know before the Twit-Era, has been working on this plan with another Twitter about making a "Mystery Stream". This set a thought in my mind, a small brain excercise: if I were to "stream" what would I stream about??? Would I interview people? Would I pick a fix set or would it be more of an "on the road" kind of streaming? Would it be live or recorded?

Well, I won't be streaming any time soon, but if I were to, right now I'd say I would make a show aired on one of my favorite days of the week: Wednesday. It would be like a blog, recorded, not live, with no fix set, but rather recorded on random places, which would be much funny since I tend to travel. The general topic would be that of Random Thoughts. Silly mysteries like that of Wonder Woman's Invisible Plane, and wicked things that would prompt wicked questions in people, like "if an evil spirit is so evil, why it always seems to wait to a given date to get loose and rampage among mankind? Why does it give people time to prepare and run?" or "Are zombies actually an ecofriendly solution for war, since it would mean the recycling of the bodies?" and follow up, "If wars were to be fought with zombies, and evidently the one who wins is the one with zombies still standing, head on place - if truce is not made before that point - but would it become a rule not to produce new batches of zombies out of fresh, living people?" Ew, that suddenly puts the phrase "Granpa is going to war" into an entirely different light.

It's decided and final, I won't stream. My thoughts are fine confined inside my skull. I think it's time for me to go back to work... and lay off Supernatural a little.

It has been a Week Already?

Today my boyfriend noticed that I haven't written in a while. I though, oh, come on, what's a day or two compared to people that spend months in a row without as much as dropping a line. Then, I saw it wasn't a day or two, but rather a whole week. Oh yeah, a whole, complete week. Well, for what is worth, it has been a stressful week, with a lot of office-errands to run, and some job requests here and there, that had my head spinning because either they were old projects we have already filed away, or it was stuff I had no idea of, specially since some of my coworkers had nicely cut me off the project. (Must have been so contraproducent for them that it was the Boss himself that put me back in without knowing they made all posible efforts to get me out. Oh my... ^_^)

People usually speak ill about my boss, about how he plays favorites, how he takes other people's work and present it as his, and how he's despective with his subordinates. I do have caught him taking credit for things I know to be done by others, and furthermore, poorly executed projects for which I would not only not take credit for, but deny any involvement I may have had. However so far my boss has been nothing but nice to me. Well, here may lay some of the problems with my coworkers: though I'm clearly not his favorite, some are behaving in a mean way with me, and I have heard it is due to jealousy. This is were I wonder, why do people turn to mean behavior when feeling threatened at the job rather than working better? The only reasonable answer I can come up with is: "They can't work any better".

I've been very disappointed with some people also, whom I've discovered not being half as professional and good as they pretend to be. Those who try to impress talking about an issue and throwing facts and analysis, but then you realize that that's the only thing they know and that's the only analysis they have. When knowledge is reduced to having the "templates" or the contact to a given database, but there's no real work, no real research behind their words... that's so disappointing.

There was a moment this week where I felt lost: I had no idea how to make a calculation through any super mathematical formula, nor how to get the data. I was mulling on this when I came up with a solution while walking back to the office from one of the errands. It still wasn't that "high economical" solution that "I should produce", but then I went to talk to a coworker of mine and explained to him what I have come up to and the problems I saw in that. (Minor technicalities.) I was surprised to find out, that yeah, my economics 101 solution was pretty much the only solution presented. Soooo... people ain't working on that? Strange. It pissed me off some to realize that something we should have done in team work was given to him without letting me know, so I simply stood there waiting. That's annoying.

I'm working out some details for some stuff there, realizing suddenly that people in my department had the information all this time. Okay, what the heck is going on here? I have a few ideas about that.

So this week I have basically lost my confidence for a day and recovered it next day, discovered the phony attitude of some of my coworkers, which shouldn't be a surprise, and found out that some of them are not the people I believed them to be. I realized I could have friends also where I never imagined them to be, and then joined a penpal site, where in a matter of hours I started finding awesome people to write to. I learned a new word, or expression: snail mail. Also found out that I'm not alone in loving it, but there's a lot of people who loves to snail mail, and some of them think the same thing I do about it: it's more human.

I meet with Milena and we worked on our thesis, then went to Víctor's and we watched Supernatural. I still love that kid, but I'm finding less and less things to talk about with him. Is there a friendship reaching an end there? That remains to be seen.

A lot of things have ended and a lot of things have started in this week, and not only for me. A friend is finally moving to another office, and she finds herself now submerged in the bittersweet sea of hope for a chance to do what she's good at doing and the pain of leaving a loving circle of friends. Well, like everything in life, you usually give up one thing to get another, that's how it works and that's what makes experiences and changes valuable.

TV

The coke at home lost all it's gas. Hell, how I hate that. So I've been thinking I should keep here also a stash of cans for "just in case" situations. The problem with "secret stashes" is that you tend to attack them quite fast and so they quickly go depleted, unless you keep hundreds and hundreds of safety stashes all over the place. The coke situation is critical, kind of like a smoke situation or a fix situation. The bad thing is that coke cans can't be stashed as easily as a pack of smokes or a fix, so my job with it is harder. Dude, I sound like a junkie here, but then again, when it comes to Coca-Cola, that's what I am. No point in denying it.

Today I did my best to have a calm day, which was easy given the fact that some annoying factors were out of sight. I delved into rutinary activities that helped me lower stress levels, and then stimulate the creative side with a small proyect that could do the difference in a slideshow I'll prepare as a side dish for a tiny little project I compiled in 94 pages after Mr.B fucked up the original, and perfectly good 74 page version. Hell, that still pisses me off, buut then that's what happens when someone without the knowledge or the vision, who never moved a finger to get involved, really involved in the project pretends to present it.

So, while I worked ahead in my new assignment, which has been my regular assignment since I started in this star crossed process, I thought about the presentation and way to make the project airtight.

Then I came home, and turned on the tv. Was greeted the great news that NCIS is coming back to AXN this Friday, where they'll present the season that finished a few weeks ago on CBS, or NET1 or whatever that channel wants to call itself. NBC or whatever. The point is that NCIS will be back, and that's AWESOME! Sure, NCIS is no Supernatural, which, really, is awesome ^_^, but I totally love, loooooooove, looooooooooooove NCIS, from McGee, DiNozzo, Ziva, Abby and Gibbs all the way to Ducky. (It's Ducky, right?). Well, I don't like Jen, which is why I'm actually glad she was offed. She was the "Ruby" of NCIS: the woman doing nothing but eing in the way. Because, let's face it, no matter the sexual tension between Ziva and DiNozzo, Ziva is too much of a butch to ever come between DiNozzo and either Gibbs (a total canon) or McGee (which has it coming!). Abby is so much fun, and such a child, she couldn't threaten a maggot.

Mental is a series that didn't really make it for me. I really had expectations with it, but episode after episode, the series didn't make it. It's like "The Mentalist" meets "Dr. House" on a psychiatric ward and it goes all wrong. To tell you the truth I started to watch the series because the main character strips naked in the first episode. And that was it. I didn't get to see him as much as in the trailer. Well, that's true to the rest of the series as well: they are not what they pretend to be. They are just an excuse to get actors and a crew paid. Period.

All other series I watch, I watch pretty much as "filling" for when I've nothing better to do. Do you do that too?

Guns and Studs

Yesterday I was fangirling, today in the morning I had a mandatory dose of 4x17, where I gathered some info (Dean went to Stanford?), and when I was to quench my thirst with some slash fiction, it turns out that all my regular sources (many of them very, very poor), have been filtered and left out of the Websense prison. Fuck, I feel like locked inside La Bastille, only I don't get freed on July 14th, nor there's a party to celebrate a damned thing. Now, I wouldn't venture to say that "life is unfair", but simply would like to state that Corporations are unfair... and they are.

Yesterday I finally got to see my friend Carrie, who recently turned... ehhh... 20... again. (In the past days she has told me she had been a bit worried because her little sister is now older than she. I told her to chill about that. Now she has two older sisters instead of an older sister and a little sister. No more imoutochan for Carrie! ^_^) I gave her her birthday present, which were two gold stud earrings with screw backs, and then the fic I managed to finish (somehow) in the last minute. We met at Bagelmen's because she brought me some episodes of Supernatural's fourth season, and I needed Nagi to copy them. San José ain't the place where you want to be seen sliding a laptop from your bag, so I asked Carrie to meet at a safer place.

As usual, we talked about life, work, friends and then plunged into SPN hardcore fangirling. From that meeting I learned a few things:

1. In 4x17 Sam and Dean's lastnames are again chosen by gun brands. I had no idea, since my knowledge of firearms is extremely limited. I mean, I know they have a "trigger", which is the thingie you have to squeeze to fire the gun, it has a "barrel" which is the long tube from which the bullet is shot. Then there's the "magazine" which is the thingy where you put the bullets, has a grip, which is where you grab it, and then there's a "cock"... not that kind either. Now, I checked it out and it turns out you call it "hammer", which is like the safety of the gun, but funnily, when you pull it back to remove the safety and fire the gun, you say you've "cocked" the gun. And that's pretty much my knowledge on firearms, oh, and it applies only for English.

However, after yesterday's comment from Carrie, I checked it out, and it happens that Smith&Wesson IS a firearm brand. So, up to this day the brands of firearms I know are:

a. Glock
b. Winchester
c. Remington
d. Beretta
e. Smith&Wesson

From where I know that Winchester, Remington and Smith&Wesson make shotguns. (All my firearm knowledge is exclusively related only to fiction. For certain stories I've to make research, which is why my head fills with this kind of information.)

2. I learned that I hate Hummus, or at least the one that Bagelmen's spreads on their bagels. It is unedible.

3. I realized I'm something of a "Big Bang Theory"-like geek, because I like the series Numb3rs (Numbers) because it's about "maths", though "it's not really about maths, but statistics... probabilistics mostly, which is disapponting at times, but the formulas in it are fascinating! Oh, and sometimes they make allusion to economical formulas!". I should really, really get back to fanfics, shopping, reading fashion magazines, or move ASAP to Hungary and get laid a lot until my brain leaves the "Geek Zone" and starts working normally again.

4. I realized I have seen SNP chapters too much, for I know how many times Maddison was mentioned in the fourth season, in which circumstances.... and I can quote lines, word by word from the top of my head. It's almost as creepy as the day I realized I knew all the lines of "Rosemary's Baby" in Spanish, and I do mean ALL the lines. Know also the books Dean Smith keeps in his office (The Witching Hour by Anne Rice, and The Warlord), know that Dean tends to wink one eye when he's annoyed or uncomfortable, and Sam rather tenses his jaws, make a weird mouth twist and flare a little his nostrils.

5. I learned about a former friend of mine, who's sinking deeper and deeper into a very unhealthy kind of life. I've actually three female acquintances who happen to have a somehow "Peter Pan"-ish complex. They are WELL into their 20's, reaching the 30's fast, and yet their minds are stuck on kinder garden. The woman in question has a son, whom she treats more like a doll. She's addicted to japan animated series, and it is said that all she does, all day is organize events across country, for which she dresses up and forces her toddler son to dress up, often dyeing the poor kid's hair in the process. Sweet Hyne, who puts dye on a three-four year old!?

This made me think about people, and how irresponsible they can be. Some people seem to think that consequences can be escaped, that they can remain forever children if the just refuse to behave like adults and asume responsabilities. They think that having a baby is just making it, carry it and give birth to it, and that once they leave the body of the mother, by some miracle, the kind will be fully able to get all it needs by itself. They think their actions have no consequences, they are independent and don't influence the kid, and if the kid turns out fucked up it's entirely the kid's own fault.

People like this should be nutted and their kids sent to orphanages.

Pre

Forbes has good writers and bad writers. Mr. Brian Caufield is, without doubt, an enjoyable writer. Ms. Elizabeth Woyke is the total opposite. For yesterday's issue, she wrote an article about the Palm Pre. The Palm Pre is basically Palm's proposal to get back into the smartphone and smart device market. Naturally, you'd like to read in an acticle like this about the features of this proposal. Okay, maybe there's a reason for not hearing about this, because Forbes is not PC Magazine or some Telecomm magazine, so okay, I get it. Then maybe we could hear about how much money was invested, who are the sponsors, with which mobile operator does it has a contract, which technology does it support, more detail about the market is targets, specifics about the design and the concept about the Pre, oh, and please, include a picture, if possible?

Ms. Woyke seemingly got her jollies talking about "organic" and "Zen" and how the device was designed to look like a "found precious" thing. Dude, it does look like a "found" thing: a found, common-looking phone. Not even the colors were discussed, but she rather had found going over and over rattling like a teen "gossip-girl" with diminished communication skills, babbling a lot and saying nothing. Hell-loooow! Is there anyone in the editiorial department? Or is Ms. Woke banging the editor?

Oh, lemme guess: you'd like to know what that ugly picture has to do with anything? Yeah, so do I. That's the picture Forbes attached to the article. Neat, huh?

Oh well, I'll throw you a bone, so you are happy: MAJOR SUPERNATURAL SPOILERS!!! DO NOT READ IF YOU CAN'T HANDLE SPOILERS!

I thought I was going to be so depressed after yesterday, when the final episode of the fourth season of Supernatural was going to be broadcasted by Warner Channel. I was sure and positive that Sam was going to die, and had to be killed by Dean. I was bawling ahead of time. First of all, yes, I was right, Lilith was the last seal, and the one"lifted from men and twisted to evil"was Sam (easy guess, really), but Sammy didn't die (yay!!!! ^_^), Dean didn't have to kill'im and they are back together again ^_^. Add to it, the end of the season was a full fledged promise of a fifth season.

Hang on there, boys!!!! ^_^

« Dream a Little Dream of Me » Supernatural

Yesterday was Supernatural night. I had seen a part of this episode in the 6 hour marathon that WB broadcasted one of these days, but I have not seen the entire thing. Dude, it was good. and when I say good I mean "slashy-good". If it weren't so late at night (or if I didn't live with others) I would have ran in circles screaming my head off in crazy joy. I mean, the boys are hot, and they are always hot, and they are always... hmmmm, Baby, you light my fire... I won't tell you what the episode was about, because you can look it up anywhere, or just log into Amazon and buy the series. Hopefully you won't have my bad luck and have your order canceled. Not Amazon's fault, you mind! I pre-ordered Brotherhood, season 2, but it seems it will naver make it to the shelves, SO the order was canceled. So, back to the Winchester brothers, in yesterday's episode there was this part where Sam and Dean had to call for Bela (some woman there who deals with occult stuff, basically by stealing it and selling it to the best bidder or on demand) for some dream root. Sam dreams that he opens the door and BEla walks in, takes off her trenchcoat and revealing lingerie and approaches him. He first backs away from her, but quite quickly gives in making out with her. He then wakes up when Dean is calling his name repeatedly. The dialog comes then is as follows:

Dean Winchester: Dude, you were out. And makin' some serious happy noises. Who were you dreaming about?
Sam Winchester: What? No one. Nothing.
Dean Winchester: Come on, you can tell me. Angelina Jolie?
Sam Winchester: No.
Dean Winchester: Brad Pitt?
Sam Winchester: No!

After that answer Sam makes a pause and then answers more evenly: "No."

Well, well, well... ^_^

If I weren't engaged in my job (and a lovely conversation with JP), I would be off looking for fanfics on this... and also fanfics about what they would see in each other's head while using the Dream Root. I'm sure it must be quite some ... finding.

New Addiction: Supernatural. New Slash: Supernatural

Time and again, I guess I can't escape it. I started reading slash of Supernatural. Well, what can I say? It certainly pushes my buttons since it invariably includes my fave kinks. ^_~ Then again, just look at them! Ain't them the hottest thing since warm, spicy wine in winter? Sam and Dean Winchester. They hardly get any hoter or any better, and the story!!! Oh my, oh my, oh my! That story, those scenes are to DIE for! They scream loud for hard slash to be written! So.... will I write Supernatural? Nah.... I'm taking a Sabatic period from that kind of stuff... with the eventual exception of the Krumggory, that needs to be taken care of by someone, and that someone do seems to be me. I don't know much of them yet, but I'm willing to go deep into research and know all of their lives and miracles, pulls, stunts and stories.

This weekend, then, I was blessed by Warner Channel with a lovely 6 hour marathon of Supernatural. What a blast!!! Of course, 6 hours are only 6 episodes, and I would have loved at least 48 straight hours of Supernatural!!! Would that be too much to ask? So, after the "micro-marathon" finished, I turned Omi on, scribbled some entry (it's in the other blog, so don't bother unless you speak Hungarian) and then went searching for slashy Supernatural. So far I had read only one fic, and it was before I knew who was Sam (the one with the long hair) and who was Dean (the blond). Now, I knew them better, so I was able to enjoy story after story of "Wincest", as the genre is known. I know, I know, many out there do not like this and find it particularly nasty, knowing that Sam and Dean are brothers, but:

1. Get real, it's just a story.
2. They are both totally hot, so why not?
3. Mind your own business.

So, now I'm off to read more fics.
