Outraged!

«Facebook also reserves the right to shut down accounts if users post fake names, write offensive messages or pull content from Facebook to post on a blog or Web site.»

No fucking shit! So «I», the CLIENT, the user, the reason why the exist and get MONEY (because if I as user weren't there would their advertisers invest money on them?) can't pull content from the Facebook for my blog, but Facebook and their advertizers can pull information about ME from it? Man, you are in for some shit storm...

I think you mis-read what facebook's trying to do. They're actually trying to protect you. A bunch of websites like TheDirty.com have sprung up that post embarrassing pictures from Facebook.

Facebook's only answer to this is to threaten that they'll close your account if they catch you deliberately harming other members this way.

I'm not a huge Facebook fan, but Zuckerberg is a young, socially conscious boy, and he understands how important his user's privacy is to maintaining a high user base. He's just trying valiantly to protect your privacy as best he can.

No, the article ACTUALLY said that, you can't take your own information and post it on your own blogs. If so, YOU, the owner of the facebook profile from which the info was pulled, would be punished. Something about Facebook having the rights over the info IN the Facebook.

Well if that's the case then you should be angry.

^_^Oh I am! That's also in part the reason why I have been retrieving some of my info. Not closing the profile yet, since I have some contacts there I'm interested in, but otherwise, I'm using it little.

Yeah school's wrapping up for me and I'll be on the job-hunt soon so I closed my account a few months ago. But I might go back.

How was Costa Rican Independence Day?

Would like to see you around the FB, even if I'm slooooooowly packing up and leaving the place. ^_^ Job hunt, huh? Kill me a couple, please. ^_^

Independence day was ok. Got closer to my self-appointed son, a friend of mine who is angry with me but doesn't have the guts to tell me, was about to explode in anger... yet still denying to be angry (why? Who knows?), met with a friend who had fun trowing beer bottles at people and starting fights, and ended up taking a straight guy home... who puked on his living room when he finally realized what my totally insane friend was about to do.

The best part was that I didn't had to go to work. ^_^

How was your "regular day"?
